Spring Lane School at Park House is our SEMH and EBSA provision based in Chesham. Situated amongst playing fields and woodlands this centre aims to support vulnerable pupils to continue with their academic studies. This centre was previously known as EPRU and was originally based at Whitefield Community Primary School.
Park House is a small provision, Year 7s arriving to Spring Lane School will be part of the new nurture curriculum at the site, which offers a wide curriculum, but supported with a thematic curriculum of 'topic' similar to that seen in Primary education, where themes like Religious Education and British Values are taught. Key Stage 3 and 4 students who are not able to access their Secondary School place for a variety of reasons; this maybe because of social, emotional and mental health difficulties or medical issues. Lessons take place in small groups, with intensive staff support. The curriculum is designed to allow students to continue with their GCSE studies, whilst receiving intervention and therapeutic approaches to target personal development.

We have a very responsive curriculum at Park House, we will seek to support pupils through accredited pathways, if they come to us with particular interests and established studies across a multitude of subject areas.
A pupils day starts at 8.55am and finishes at 3.20pm.
A 15 minute break and a 20 minute lunch is also built into the day.
A 20 minute check-in and check-out is at the start and the end of the day respectively to prepare pupils for learning, reflect on learning, undertake reading and discuss pastoral issues.
