Spring Lane School's Pathways and Curriculum

Students are assessed on entry and placed within one of our five highly personalised pathways. Aspire, Nurture, Engage, Employ and Re-Engage. All students join the school on our Restart Provision, which has dedicated staff within it to build meaningful relationships with our young people and their families. Our curriculum is based on engagement, wellbeing and building relationships. Throughout our pathways we build the curriculum around six main themes. 

  • Knowing Themselves
  • Being Independent
  • Being Good Communicators
  • Being Prepared for Adulthood
  • Being Curious
  • Possessing Functional Skills

Students very often transition into different pathways whilst they are at Spring Lane. We recognise our young people will develop and grow, so does their need for different skills, learning approaches and experiences. We are a responsive provision and review individual student needs throughout their school career.
